New Mascot Input
We are in the process of looking to update the current Stallion mascot and would like to include input from students, parents, alumni, and staff in this process.
Why the Update?
Our current Stallion has been with us since Schlagle opened its doors in 1973. While it’s served us well, the original design style is now outdated and difficult to adapt for modern digital use. Over the years, various versions of the mascot have emerged, many of which don’t align with our current brand standards.

The Schlagle Stallion goes far beyond a logo and mascot. It defines who we are. It's in every message we send and every personal encounter we experience on behalf of our school community. From new hires to our youngest students, our brand is integrated into our daily interactions on behalf of the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.
In order to build and maintain a strong brand identity, we must use our logos consistently.
The goal is to create an updated mascot design that honors the school's historical pride while capturing the vibrant culture of the current school community.
New Mascot Options
Please take a moment to share your thoughts on the new mascot designs. You'll be asked to choose between two options for the Stallion head and two options for the full-body design. Schlage will have the flexibility to use either the full-body Stallion or just the Stallion head as the official mascot.
